The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports that a two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, has claimed the life of a Tuscumbia man.
Jimmie D. Smallwood, 76, was fatally injured when the 2005 Ford Freestyle that he was driving was struck by the 2016 Nissan Rogue driven by Emma C. Snipes, 24, also of Tuscumbia. Smallwood was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Alabama 20 near the 30 mile marker, approximately three miles southeast of Muscle Shoals, in Colbert County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
