According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, a single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:32 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, has claimed the life of a Loretto man.
Christian W. Hatchett, 49, was fatally injured when the 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe he was driving left the roadway and overturned. Hatchett was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene. ALEA says Hatchett was attempting to elude a Trooper with the Highway Patrol Division before the crash occurred.
The crash occurred on Lauderdale 33, approximately eight miles north of Killen, in Lauderdale County.
