On Monday, October 30th, 2023, the Muscle Shoals Police Department was advised by Muscle Shoals High School Administration Staff of the high school being under a heightened awareness protocol.
School administration and officers with the Muscle Shoals Police Department quickly disposed of any possibility of there being any threat to students or staff. The lockdown was lifted and classes resumed as normal.
The investigation into this matter was conducted by Muscle Shoals School Administrators, Muscle Shoals Police Department Personnel, and Colbert County Juvenile Authorities.
The department stated that as always, the safety of students and staff is their top priority.
