The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports that a marine-related event at approximately 7pm Sunday has claimed the life of a Sheffield man.
Ian H. Dodge, age 44, was fatally injured when the personal watercraft he was operating struck a log near the shoreline. Dodge was thrown from the PWC onto shore into the nearby wood line, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The incident occurred September 8th on Pickwick Lake near Little Bear Creek in Colbert County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Marine Patrol Division continue to investigate.
