About the Show
Tune in Sunday nights at 7:00 to hear the world’s most famous western drama, “Gunsmoke” as it was originally broadcast… on the radio! Starring William Conrad, Parley Baer, Howard McNear, and Georgia Ellis, the radio version of Gunsmoke began in 1952, three years before the TV series premiere. It would last for nine seasons. Following Gunsmoke, we’ll play another western radio show such as the cavalry classic “Fort Laramie” starring Raymond Burr, or “The Six Shooter” with Western favorite James Stewart, among others.
